OVERVIEW
Beginning in 1973, I spent eleven years with a principal focus on the archaeological and surficial geology in Allaska, funded principally by the U.S. Geological Survey and the University of Alaska Museum, and published principally in the Geological Society of America Bulletin and Quaternary Research. During the 1980s to 1990's was worked on the glacial geology of the Puget Lowland and crustal processes associated with strain in the Puget Sound forearc basin during 1996-2002 was funded by the U.S. Geological Survey's National Earthquake Hazard Reduction Program and published in Science, the Geological Society of America Bulletin, and Quaternary Science Reviews. My work in New England involved postglacial landscape change, and was published principally in the Geological Society of America Bulletin and Paleolimnology. My work in Chile (1998-1999) on tectonic geomorphology, seismic zonation, dune stabilization, fluvial geomorphology and biogeography was funded by the U.S. Department of of State and Chile's Servicio Nacionial de Geologia y Mineria, and published in Ciencia al Dia Internacional, and technical bulletins. More recently (Sept. 2003) he co-authored a sediment transport model for bluff-top archaeology, published by the New York State Museum.
